Tabletize, an online platform designed to create native mobile apps with a WYSIWYG Web editor, has recently raised $2.2 million it its Series A funding round.
The startup provides a full customization and design first approach to mobile for communication agencies, graphic designers, and developers, allowing users to create native mobile apps without writing a single line of code.
“Our aim at Tabletize is to become the default for companies looking for native applications in a fast and convenient way,” says CEO Franco Puppo, “We believe our feature sets and user experience exceed all others in the market. In particular, our iBeacon and BLE support is a plus for users looking to get an app up and running as quickly as possible.”
The platform is particularly suited for design agencies and communications companies looking to create mobile app interactive catalogues, presentation applications, product applications, and digital magazines.
The Series A announcement comes less than two months after the application exited its closed beta period and amid a time that Europe’s general growth investment climate in Europe is under pressure. Still recovering from the Euro crisis in 2012, growth investment in Europe contracted 10.8% and startup investment dropped 1.7% between 2013 and 2014, according to the European Investment Fund (EIF).
